Boris Magrini is a curator and art historian currently based in Berlin. He is the 
former Head of Programme at HEK (House of Electronic Arts) in Basel, and former Senior Curator at the LAS Art Foundation in Berlin. He has served as a member of the boards of trustees at Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, a member of the International Programme Committee for the 29th International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA), a member of the jury panel State of the ART(ist) at Ars Electronica, and a juror of the Lumen Art Prize, the Award for Art and Technology.

He has curated group exhibitions on the topics of ecology, artificial intelligence, art games, blockchain and counter-cartography, and has created and programmed the experimental electronic concert series Noise Gate at HEK.

 He regularly contributes articles on contemporary and new media art in magazines and exhibition catalogues, and for ten years was the editor of the Italian pages of Kunstbulletin.

Following his studies in art history at the University of Geneva, he completed his PhD at the University of Zurich.
